Does the insomnia after alcoholism ever go away?

i am dealing with this.
i take 200 mg of trazadone.
sometimes it helps, but not much.
and if i can sleep, whatever time I am woken up - im up!
no going back to sleep.
i think i need some remeron.
that stuff knocks me down.
