One Year and Under Club Part 55
Welcome, Dharma! I hope you find SR as helpful as I have.
Congrats, Caramel
Glee, love how you keep on improving your life and practicing those good things we learn as we become more solidly sober. You are an inspiration.
Hi Babs
Have a good day, Undies!

Hi Babs
Have a good day, Undies!
I don't know what happened to my last post but, I'm doing it over again.
I have been busy cleaning from windows to shampooing the carpet. Ugh.
My sister is coming this week and that gives me the incentive to get things done.
I do have a AA meeting again today and looking forward to it.
Hoping everyone has a wonderful day.
Hugs !

As an all or nothing alcoholic, I've never found a healthy balance with diet and exercise as an adult. I've always been either starving or stuffed, highly active or completely lazy -never balanced. I'm trying to use some of that "one moment at a time" perspective that helped me quit drinking.
I'm using the smart goals technique (specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and timely). I picked a diet plan and an exercise plan that came with their own specific rules to follow.

A Big Welcome to the new faces and congrats caramel on 8 weeks!
Wow, I actually believe in myself this time around
Hey everyone. I finally got miserable enough to try recovery again after another 6 year bout of daily using and drinking, my drug of choice was/is definitely MORE, haha. Anyway, I checked myself into rehab/detox for 10 days (that's all my insurance would cover unfortunately) and had one of the most enjoyable and enlightening times I have ever had in rehabs, this was probably my 8th try. All the other times I was convinced I would never be able to maintain anything like long term sobriety. This time though something clicked and I actually believe I CAN do this (today)!!! I've been out for 7 days now and am doing EVERYTHING I can to maintain it and stay busy even though I am still going thru withdrawal from the suboxone I've been taking for the last 15 years daily. Jess wanned to introwdews mahseff to y'all an sai I am gratefell SobrrrRecuverree iz heahh tu hep mee owt. Peace to you all.
