I said to myself that I'd keep posting on this thread so I will,
Here I am in September, not touched any booze since July, I still feel as strong, if not stronger about not drinking as I did on day 1.
If I can do it trust me, all of you people on day 1 now can do it too.
I may still be in early sobriety but I am loving my new sober life and everything that comes with it. This time I know that it's for real and I will never drink again.

Hi guys,
I've seen that there are a few people struggling at the moment so I've decided to bump this thread,
I'm still sober from the start of this thread by using the mindset that I've spoken about,
I've tried many, many times to get sober in the past and failed every time, this time though as I said on day 1 I really have done it.
If I can do it, then believe me anyone can,

Great news Bruno and congratulations on your decision and over 2 months sober. Sounds like a version of AVRT/Rational Recovery. Relapse isn't inevitable but do work on how you will deal with things IF you get cravings. Not being pessimistic just practical.

There has to be a back up plan for the future,
To be honest though, I'm so relieved to have been given another chance at my life I'm never going to put myself or my family through what we've already been through again,
