101 Days Ready To Give Up
Hi Leigh,
I'm doing much better. Today marks 125 days. I'm still going through problems with my employer but I'm making the best out of it by staying productive, going to the gym, reading and meditation.
I plan to participate more on this forum as I see myself tempting to go back to my old ways and thoughts of drinking do come I mind. I keep reminding myself to how good I been doing and how that one drink can spiral me back down to the person I was before.

I'm 3 months into a probation DUI 2'nd. It's my 5th DUI but they were easier on them in the old days. Glad it finally stopped your drinking. The 2'nd is a real bear, stopped my drinking as well. Perhaps a blessing in disguise?
the court wants you to have a job so you pay taxes. I got an Occupational drivers licence. It's expensive and involves some hoops. Perhaps you could get one as well. You don't need a lawyer in Texas if you want to read and do some paperwork. Maybe get a bike? It's healthy and very trendy these days. Slap a Climate Change sticker on it and you'll be with the "in crowd."

I look at it as a blessing in disguise, it got me sober.

Ghost face, please don't give up! Look at all the positives since you have stayed sober. I too am just over 100 days, keep strong. Face the future sober....it is gonna be the best way, no one said it would be easy but don't go back now!!!
Hey Ghostface, just caught up on this thread and wishing you well.
From what I've read I can see you have changed yourself and those around you, don't underestimate the effort and effect you've had in what you've accomplished so far. I don't.
And yeah, times are tough and things will come along from time to time to test you again. It is how you deal with them that matters. One thing I will suggest, don't be hard on yourself, you've done an awesome job so far.
