I get cravings sometimes too. I had a heck of a time staying sober for a long time and I don't want to go through that again. So, sober it is for today. You've made it a long ways, why not keep going:-)

Thanks for your replies Bobbieka, Dee and Lorax.

So... I spent a lot of time reading a forum full of marijuana daily smokers who are either trying to quit or moderate their intake. The consensus there is that even when they succeed moderating for a while they decide life is better marijuana-free.

I think this will keep the AV quiet for a couple of months.

Just a thought, but with federal weed legalization in the US and Canada I guess some years from now this forum will see a big increase in traffic, posts and threads...

Keep it going BlissWithin! You made a lot and you know moderation doesn't exactly work for us.

I tried again moderating couple of weeks ago only to fail miserably and now I've to do the whole thing again or keep smoking.

I don't think you'll be happier if you smoke. You might get some good feelings and it might even last for couple of days or so even weeks, but eventually it will lead to the same place you once were so eager to get out from.

Don't waste what you've achieved!

Good luck!

Day zero again.
I had a whole year relapse, that got out of control as my mental health got progressively worse and here I am searching for meaning and identity all over again. If you have any mental issues please be very considerate before ingesting THC. I'm still dry from the booze and in great shape because of that but my mind is making me desperate it seems.

I am sorry to hear of your relapse. I swear pot is harder to kick than booze.
Thank you for your story and update. It firms up my resolve that I am done with pot for good. There is no moderation. It's all or nothing.

Absolutely, my AV carefully crafted a 2 year plan to slowly bring me back to being a pothead.

And with increased weed use I isolated myself and started to have "meaningful" relationships with music and videos and at my lowest point I became suicidal. I was not taking any other substances, only weed.

That AV is so damn sneaky.
What do you think you would/could do differently this time?
I am all for adding any tools to my toolbox. The longest I've gone without pot in quite a while is 3.5 months.

For my situation, I believe it's a necessity to take good care of my feelings and be 100% true to myself, also have a good routine and a clean, guilt-free consciensce

Important update

So, I'm having a big trouble with this plant, as I almost got my ass into jail today because of a few puffs, I returned to cigarrete smoking to control my anxiety, and also became sort of a gym rat to compensate the weight gain from the psychiatric meds. Life sucks right now because all I can think now is to how to make thousands of dollars fast so I can move to Canada or anywhere else where I can ingest some THC and feel not a criminal about it.

My AV is really furious, as you all can see.

still no "real job", but my college degree is halfway there, so that's a good thing.

aaaaaand I'm back again to the sobriety bus, sort of.

Thank you 😊

I know it does, but due to Brazil's working laws change, people everywhere are getting mad and desperate and I can't even stand some AA meetings because of that. A range of confused emotions is taking over the city and state I live.

I really wish I could show SR to many of my addicted real life friends.

damn, I really don't like politics.

Thank you all 😊
