I lost about $1400 in the past 3 weeks due to my stupidity, I need car parts, books and supplies for school, and tools. Im such a freakin idiot.
Im sure if I had saved during my 10 years at my last job instead of partying it away me and the gf could have bought the house we wanted a few years ago, now were stuck renting and housing prices are through the roof.
Not having my head on straight is the worst part, the money can(hopefully) be made back, my mind, not so sure.

I lost a solid ten years (25-35)in which my drinking had a negative effect on almost everything. Relationships and career options were a complete bust.

The only thing I didn`t ruin was my health. I never smoked and regularly took vitamin supplements. Looking back at photos taken shortly before I got sober my face was bloated but overall I didn`t look a complete mess

^ Ditto on that. I feel like money wasn't the only thing I lost.

I notice that now that I'm sober, I pay my bills on time and in full. No more shut off notices.

If I didn't drink I could have bought my independence.

we can not change the past so I stopped thinking along these lines a few years sober. but!
1. pretty much whatever I reasonably could want, remodeled house, just about any car, I sold a 69 Gibson Les Paul Gold Top mint condition 450.00 to score.
I could maybe buy it back for 10,000 to 15,000 today, yep sorry but these are not the best things to think about for me in sobriety.

I could make a huge list, but a better car would be at the top of it.

53 days in the old days was 53x2 large bottles of wine a day, I could have spent about $850. Plus all the drinks out........at least $1000. Spent. I've posted many many times about the other benefits which far outweigh $$$
