SoberRecovery is a great place for experience, strength and hope. But you have to work at it--read around and post often!

Hi and welcome.

There is a lot of support and understanding on this forum. When I became sober I didn’t know what I didn’t know and needed to follow directions from the old timers who were tough and loving and understood the pitfalls our thinking and of drinking.

For many recovery is a long lasting process filled with rewards most always wanted and receive when sober and healthy minded.

It’s great to feel comfortable in ones own skin and feel comfortable with ourselves perhaps for the first time.

The process is simple, we just don’t have the first drink one day at a time in a row and accept we cannot drink in safety.
I said simple, not always easy, that’s why we need help.

BE WELL
