Thought of this class and I hope everyone is doing well!

I'm still reppin class of Dec '14 and have not strayed from the path I chose 5 years ago alongside you amazing people. Healthiest I've ever been in my adult life although the sweet tooth does still rear its head on occasion, albeit less and less haha. Currently struggling with incredible work stress in my business world which is probably why I thought of this place and where I've come from. Not because I have a desire to drink, because I honestly do not have any desire at all anymore, but because it was a tremendous obstacle that was overcome. And I shall overcome this one as well.

Love to you all and shine on!

I make it to 7 years this week.

Hello to those still visiting this class thread-
This weekend will mark 7 years of sobriety. Hard to believe. I have mostly migrated over to r/stopdrinking since 2017, but this thread and forum are where I started to crawl my way to sobriety back in the waning days of 2014. The years that followed were the best of my life up to this point.
Sobriety has been great, but life has become a bit sadder since I had to leave my beloved California a year and a half ago. I have still managed to remain sober despite the change. I live in the east now. It is pretty in the mountains.
I hope you are well.

Best-

Thanks, Dee. Yes, it's nice- but California makes it hard to go nearly anywhere else. It is hard to leave. Hopefully I will get to a place of acceptance, but it is hard. Hope all is well with you. From what I remember, you are in Australia?
Thanks for putting in all these yea s helping people in sobriety.

Keeping the December, 2014 thread going in the "almost mid 2020s"

Still plugging along as I get closer to 9 years without alcohol. It all started with this group on Sober Recovery.

9 Years Sober Today

It looks like no one is around from those days in the mid 2010's when we were all new to sobriety.

One more year to double digits. The drinking days seem very far away. Life without alcohol... Has become the norm. Normal life. Drinking was abnormal. This is real life. Challenges faced correctly. Perspective and perception not skewed by fun house distortions. It is a better life.
