Three years and thank you
Want to thank everyone.
I made it 3 years. Best investment in myself I ever made. That's what sobriety is, an investment that only grows, a gift that keeps on giving.
I used to be unemployed, broken up with gf, and very sick and depressed. Isolated as well. Lived in fear and instability.
Now I haven't needed a drink in years, have a job that I love, a wife I love and the respect of people around me.
Anyone who's doubting themselves in their early days - you can do it. Life is more than I thought it was.
It's worth it and I don't know if I could have done it without SR!

And a big thank you for checking in. Coincidentally, yours is the third post in the last week from a SRer who has returned to post news like this. So often, when names disappear from SR, we are left to wonder. Frankly, we often surmise that it means the disappearance is attributable to relapse. And, just as frankly, that is sometimes verified when a SRer returns from an absence and picked up again.
Yours was a wonderful validation that life in sobriety has taken hold for others on the journey. It was thoughtful of you to share this and particularly to extend hope to newbies.
Thanks and all the best wishes for more beauty in Year Four.
