Congrats buk!

Was craving earlier but I'm ok now. And last night I saw a play with actors smoking - wow did that trigger a craving! I did not break though. Day 11

24 in the books for me. Had a fakesgiving party and most of my friends were smoking and it was a teeny bit tempting but I try to just let it be and let it pass. Even after 5 years that little devil is still sittin on my shoulder, the bugger. The best part: me, my clothes and my car smell like a million bucks. I really like smelling good now. Lotion, Cologne, hair gel, after shave, body wash, chewing gum, car freshener. Some might say I smell too fresh, to them I say: it's what keeps me cig free:-)

Way to go lorax! I'm hanging with friends that smoke this Friday, kind of dreading the temptation. I hope it's cold so I don't mind staying inside and smoke free Day 12 almost done!

I just poured water on what was left in a pack.

Beginning of day one. I'm nervous.

Lots of great web resources MLD51. Whyquit.com, the truth, tons of reinforcement is needed in the early days. Grapes and carrots are great snacks that are low calorie. Ice cold water helps also. You can do it!!

Thanks, letitgo. I know I can do it, but I also know it will be hard. I'll check out Why Quit.

No cigs: check. MLD, Js, good luck. Day one is no fun, but sometimes the memory of those first days is what keeps me going. It's what helps when I think "just one for special occasions" or "you have to smoke a cigar when your baby is born". One as a number doesn't exist for me and smokes.

Wanting to send some encouragement. Life is so much better without it. You would be amazed at how bad you actually smell when you smoke. I'd much rather smell like a normal human than one that lives in a smoldering pile of trash. Keep it up evrybody.

Count your savings and buy yourself a reward or save what you are not spending into a savings account.
