The drinking dream

Hi everyone! Today is day 30 for me again. Things have been going smoothly for the most part the last few weeks. My AV mainly stays away because he knows I won't listen and will probably throat punch him if he hangs around too long.

Anyway, I had the drinking dream last night. Can't remember all of the details, but in the dream it was day 30 and I relapsed. I woke up from the dream in a panic and was feeling so mad at myself, until it finally hit me that it was only a dream. Crazy how certain dreams can feel so real.

I hope everyone is staying strong and also staying on the right path. As always, thanks for all of your support and kind words these past 30 days. It has really helped me stay sober and focused.

Congratulations LiberatedStorm!

I remember those dreams, they would seem so real.

That voice doesn't go easily does it? lol

Keep up the great work, the good news is... those dreams happened less frequently the longer, I was sober.

I had the same dream a few times after I stopped drinking. After the first one I remember waking up feeling disgusted with myself because I thought I really had been drinking the night before.

Only had that dream a few times. Now if I do have a dream about drinking, and it has been several months since the last one, I remember saying "I don't drink".

Funny how the sub conscious works. Have to beat the AV on all levels.

Those dreams will fade with time. Congrats on the first of many sober months!

Day 18 and get them every other night. Wake up feeling ashamed with myself. Such a nice feeling when realising it was just a dream. I'm glad my dreams are bad ones because in it way it makes my day easier fighting my AV.

Well done on day 30!!!!

Great job on 30 days LS!

Keep up the good work. I had those dreams early on too. Definitely hard to shake that guilty / uncomfortable feeling after one of those.

Hi! I'm just about the same amount days sober as you and I have had several drinking dreams. They bugged me for a little while after waking up. Congratulations on 30 days! That's so awesome!
