Online Al-Anon Meetings
So I'm still fairly new to SR. I first found this group back in December when my husband was in rehab. Been really struggling on his road to recovery. I went to an Al-Anon meeting in my area back in October but the woman were all angry bitter people who were no longer with their alcoholics. It was rather depressing and discouraging. I have an 18 month old and it's kinda hard to get out of the house to try another meeting. From talking with others on SR, there seems to be some interest in an online meeting. Please let me know if you would be interested. Also if the admins could read this and advise on a chairperson. There is someone who might be interested in that but I know would need to be cleared with the admins.

There are already many online/phone/email Alanon meetings. They can be found here: http://www.al-anon.org/how-to-find-a-meeting Just click on "Find an electronic meeting." Of course, if you want to start one yourself, more power to you, but it might be helpful to attend some established ones first just to get an idea of the different formats used.
I do know that SR has a chat room but I've not used it myself. You might want to check into that also.
