Your body must be thanking you Pink. I was just looking at a painting of Mt Sonder the other day so my mind was in your part of the world for a while.

Sounds like it's getting better, PGs! Keep it up. You know now how critical sobriety is to your health.

Yeah I was just looking at myself in themiror. I have lost 11 kilos (24.25 pounds) and I like what I'm seeing. I believe my outside is reflecting what is happening at the inside my cholesterol was 9.8 -4 is the average all thanks to drinkung and eating junk food.
Eating pretty much healthier now though still on not enough calories (1050-1250 cals a day of the 2000 allowed but hey im a vego and had to lay of cheese so veggies dont have much calories anyways)
Hair feels soft again skin looks better eyes not red anymore still freaking tired though gp from the detox clinic gave me a bloodtest for my thyroid since I've been tired since my teen years 39 now)

But the post on here from that guy that has his liver restored after 4-5 months gives me hope.
I now see grog as poison it f ed up my insides and i need my insides to be healthy and strong to give me a ling life

My liver specialist told me that my liver would continue to heal for 18 months straight. And therefore we couldnt really say how well it healed until 18 months was up. Sure hope this helps, and btw its been 18 months just now and havent been back to see him yet. Feel lots better though.

Sweet! Thank you
Mt Sonder is pretty it goes purple at sunset one day I'll climb it for the last 9 years I have said I'll walk the larapinta teail (250 km) all through the West Macdonnell ranges with as finish the top of mt sonder
One day
Now im seriously considering getting an Aussie passpirt flying to holland in july. Freaking pain in the backside!! My dutch ******** is only valus 5 years as is the resident return visa. New ******** is 250 plus 345 for return visa plus flights to adelaide to the consulate (350) plus hotel (250) all adds up
Too much hassle and ill never live in Holland ever again if it's up to me so might as well!

Another thing the therapist taljed about today on the phone
A plan for my trip home.
Free complementary drinks free alcohol!
Ill be travelling 36 hours! Longest part is 16 hours straight flight to Amsterdam.

Need to work on a plan to avoid drinking on the plane and at the airpirt at my 7 hours stop over when I'm bored cos it's in Australia that stop over and they will sell my brand beer.
I'll be fine but a plan us good

Yeah I think now after reading this that it may be still early days thw blood test after one month was great. The enzymes or something that processes the alcohol had to be equal or less than 13 (whatever that is) and mine was 309 to start with and after one month 154 so it halved the whatever it's called gp was happy it was now good enough to give me Naltrexone (it affects the liver if unhealthy)
I put all my trust in my gp and the clinic's gp.
Next week new blood test then results.
Next month ultrasound of my hand first they thought it was Duyprutans contraction ( scar tissue on the tendon of my left ringfinger. It's common in alcoholucs with germanic background =me im Dutch) but now the gp thinks it's fibrosis (after seeing the ultrasound) which she says is strange so I'm getting another ultrasound on my hand cos the lump has doubled in size and is now slightly obstructing movement.
Alcohol ***** your body! It's nasty stuff!
It makes us sick and ill and gives us weird unexplainable lumps in our body
Im not religious but thank you God for freeing me of this nasty stuff and giving me my life back better than ever before
Xo

Oh and another thing is my parents always have 12 odd beers in the fridge! And cases/crates in the garage for friends and family if they pop around it's tradition to give them one or two beers.
I need a crash plan for that too cos it will be too tempting staying at their house for four weeks with a fridge full of berrs staring at me as soon as i open the door getting a coke.
Cant expect them to not have cold beers in the fridge or wine bottles in the cupboard
Eeeeek
