finally

Just got a call from the vet, my dog had his second (and final) surgery to try and remove his cancer. They said they could not find any evidence of cancer after microscopic inspection of the tissue that was removed again. That means they think they got it all the first time around, and the second time was just a precaution to make sure. He had a little but of a rough go after the surgeries with sutures coming out (he's a dog so he wants to play, run, etc so keeping him calm as an ordeal) and a bit of pain.

But finally something good...

Yay!

PS still sober

Very nice news on your dog, jryan; hope he is 100% soon.

Even better news on your sobriety.

Congratulations on both.

I am just so stoked that he is probably going to be around for a little while longer. I honestly dont know what I would do without him (or my other dog for that matter) but he was the first addition to the family a few months after we married (added another dog and two more kids- all at different times thanks goodness).

And yeah I am happy to be sober as well. Root beer keeping me a float heh.

I know I was in a real rough place for a while when I found out and have you guys to thank to keeping me on the right track except for the one slip up. Man if you take out my 3 slip ups I would have almost 8 months! But thats ok, I will have 8 months in another 7.
