Hi, all)
It's me - still alive, still sober, still kicking...
Today I've suddenly realized how much I miss you all!
I haven't been posting for some time because I felt like I somewhere "in between" - not having real struggles with urges to have a drink any more, but still kind of not having a "real life" to talk about.
But today I felt almost physical need to come back, like on "old times".
My hugs to all.
See you!

It's great to see you, MB! I'm getting excited to see the Pacquiao/Mayweather fight. I have a strong preference. (Notice that I said "Pacquiao/Mayweather," not vice versa). I hope Manny knocks Floyd out and shuts him up once and for all!
Good to see you Midnight!
Stressful day, the old car is acting up and is not being cooperative in allowing a diagnosis. Getting a rental for the weekend as we await a part that may or may not fix the problem.
Then the singer/jerk from you-know-where (who I have ranted about forever) was a you-know-what tonight. Others were annoyed at his hyperactivity, too loud voice and know-it-all attitude. If the music and the concert were not so fun, I would quit. I almost did...
At least I am not drunk on my tail making it worse!

MB,
We all know that feeling. Life doesn't get better, we do.
Grate Rick!
Hey all. We are having serious floods here. More heavy rain tonight. We should be getting some national news attention. And apartment complex slid into a concrete drainage ditch today. We stayed in at home and mentally added another month before it dries enough so we can start the foundation for the new place. Laser Spinal called to see if I was ready to have four lumbar stabilized, and a cervical vertebrae removed and replaced. I need to wait until we move in, so I can carry boxes and move furniture. We have labor for the heavy lifting. But they won't want me lifting anything over ten pounds for a few months after surgery. I finally treated that yellow streak down my back and am a go for surgery and the weather just won't cooperate. I'll post a pic if we start to float away. Life is good, it keeps the plot interesting.

Itchy, you could always build an ark while you are waiting to pour the foundations! Good luck with the surgery when you get it.
MB great to see you here, I do hope you stick around
Siesta, lovely to hear from you too, how's things? Are you all settled in your new apartment?
Rick congratulations on the 16 months. I would have been about that walking through a sunny warm Boston last year watching all the folk sitting down to a nice cold one. So civilised, and I could remember how good it felt when that first one slid down.... I had to follow the urge through to its inevitable conclusion and it wasn't pretty. I found it easier to do battle with AV on the down times, I was prepared, my guns were locked, loaded and aimed. It was the sneaky slithering through the grass assault of remembering the good feelings associated with having a drink that would punch me in the gut. Keep the faith Rick, this too passes.
Drake, I am sending vibes for a long dose of laryngitis for your singing associate. In the meantime, next chance you get, slap a smile on your face, clap him on the shoulder and say "that was great, you almost nailed it that time" ( just don't put the emphasis on the almost, it will bug the heck outta him!!!
Moshi Moshi Zip
Andy, mmmmmm can't wait for the veggies to grow! Hope it's not too wet for them

Oh, Drake, I'm glad others are getting wind of his obnoxiousness. sooner or later, somebody is going to "have a word with him!"
Rick, congrats on 16 months! Don't let that AV get you down, it ain't worth it
MB, good to see you back!
Itch, sorry about the rain...hope ya don't float away on us.
We've got a beautiful stretch of weather around these parts. The high will be 65F today and yet we still have piles of snow around...I'm always glad to see those go away for good. I'm back to walking every day and I hope to lose some more weight by the time I go back to my doctor in August. He said if I lose enough I can probably get off the blood pressure meds.
Have a great Friday, all!
