3 weeks clean today.
pretty excited i found this site from google. really interested in everyones stories that it is getting quite overwhelming.
ive struggled with a xanax addiction since i was 16. im going to be 25 this summer. it has been a long journey. this is about the 2nd time i went full in cold turkey detox mode. i choose not to seek inpatient treatment because i was very afraid of leaving behind family. though, that sounds irrational, i was afraid of a lot of other factors too.
i deleted my facebook, and sort of went into hibernation off the grid. in secret, ive been dealing with all of the sickness of detox. from throwing up to weight gain. to body aches and a horrible, horrible mood.
i guess the worst part of this is trying to find a coping skill that will stick and work for real this time. im running out of patience.

Congrats Guilfoyle on your 3 weeks off Xanax! That's awesome!!! I know how it is to detox off of Xanax. It was mighty tuff! Had lots of symptoms I never had detoxing from other substances. In fact, I'd never do it again! Been off it since February 2013.
