I've looked at it, but I'm totally not interested. I use to say I LOVE beer. Well that was a load of crap. The taste was alright but I loved getting loaded on beer. It had nothing to do with the actual product, it was all about the alcohol. Same with wine. Ohh I use to love wine. Hah! No, I loved the alcohol in the wine. So I don't even tempt myself with non alcoholic beverages. Not to mention I'd be afraid of it triggering something.

Good morning everyone!

Day 39 for me! 65 lbs to lose is now 49.8 lbs. Finally I broke that 50 lb mark. The weight loss stalled over the past 10 days but I'm sure it was from building muscle and since Sunday it was definitely sodium from the buffet. I actually went up 2 lbs over that. lol But hey, who knew they made deep fried mac and cheese in these little pocket thingies. Well I just mowed down on those babies.

Went to the gym and totally sucked at it. But I was late in going and I think it was just too long and I started out depleted. But I still managed 45 minutes instead of 60.

I work today 2-10 so I best get showered and get my day going.

Have a great day everyone!

Jojo

Jojo
Just to clarify, I don't tempt myself with non alcoholic beverages, of wine and beer. If i won't drink the real thing, I won't dabble with the non alcoholic versions. For me personally, I don't see the point.

Near Miss, Keep on Going!

WholeNewLife - get going again, you can do it!

SisterBobby - NA beer, wine, and cooking with alcohol can be a trigger -
there are small amounts of alcohol in all of those. Better to stick with
tasty sodas, teas, etc. But technically I don't think NA beer would be
considered "drinking."

I feel like I don't post helpful things very much, but maybe this one
will help someone.

Last night I couldn't sleep, GF was breathing loudly. So in my sleepiness
I decided a glass of wine, 8 oz max, down the tube, would help
(and it would have, but would have put me on a path that might
continue tonight!) So I rummaged around the cupboard, couldn't
find a partial bottle of wine, thought about opening a new bottle,
but the only one handy was pretty expensive and it was a gift for GF -

SOOOO, instead, I decided to pour myself a nice tall cool class
of yummy milk. It tasted great and after that I slept . . .
and honestly, it tasted better than wine would have!

Evening everyone,

Many thanks to all of you for your support

Felt kind of weird at work but the atmoshere definitely healthier

I had some Eisberg non alcoholic wine which I used for a Risotto. As wine it tastes revolting.

I get your name now SisterBobby - nine sisters including yourself - phew!

Hi guys. First chance to check in today. Day 56 I think? Last drink on NYE

Blondsober - yes those kind of posts are helpful - makes me be aware that at any time I can start looking for it. Good you didn't find any.

Jojo - under 50 to lose - right? woohoo. That's great. I did some cardio a few times but have been super bad this week about getting any excersie in.

Lovehoops - ok - how'd you pick out your name? My initial are TB - ergo Teebee. Same with you saoutchik? I keep trying to figure them out.

I'm not going to do any NA stuff. Last time I stopped for a few months I was getting into the NA stuff. I don't think it triggered me but I'm not taking a chance this time. Want to stay sober and I don't know what to trust myself with and what I shouldn't so no NA stuff for me.

Awholenewlife - just come on back and don't give up - ever!!

And now for some good news (drum roll please) nurse called and told me all my lab values were within normal limits.

I am so relieved - I went from 3X normal at the end of November to normal now. Thanks for all the good thoughts. Now I just keep telling myself a dodged a bullet and I will not be so lucky next time and I HAVE to stay sober.

Anyway - thanks guys for being there - you all keep me going at times.
