Oh my goodness I remember that hell. Bile coming out of my nose whilst simultaneously pouring out of my bottom.

It was the closest thing to hell on earth.

At one point, it was so unbearable, I floated above my body and was looking down at myself strewn across the bathroom floor. How I didn't die that day, I will always believe was divine intervention.

Who knew 2.5 bottles of wine is the equivalent of a bullet in the chamber ?

You don't ever, EVER have to feel this way again.

I attempted to eat the noodles but it wasn't happening. The broth was safe though. I had chicken or beef. and just sipped on it.
something about the salt in it, I dunno...kinda made me a feel better.
I hope it helps you.

Sorry you're feeling so poorly. Been there, done that.

Strangely, in no more than 3 or 4 days, you're going to feel like drinking again. What do you plan to do about that?

Once upon a time, my grandmother told me that tea and saltine crackers are the only foods that you can keep down when you have nausea to the point of vomiting.

Broths seem to work for me myself, like chicken broth or miso soup broth.

Also, I found this website that I think may be of use to you:
When you have nausea and vomiting: MedlinePlus Medical Encyclopedia

Perhaps if your doctor is unwilling to prescribe outpatient medications for alcohol withdrawal perhaps he will prescribe some anti-nausea medication instead?

I reached out to a friend who oddly enough didn't realize I had a problem at all and asked her to come with me to an AA meeting because I'm strangely nervous to go to one by myself in this area. This time I'm giving it my all before it kills me. I like sober me, drunk/hungover me is a gross nightmare.

I can remember staring at myself in the mirror last May and thinking..."who are you? who ARE YOU?!"
and looking at my BF, wondering...why is he even here? Look at me. I'm disgusting. I can't even get my hung over ass off the couch. I hadn't showered in days. GROSS.

you know it gets better Alpha much much better.

It has never NOT ended up this way in the two or so years I've been truly struggling.

And it's a progressive disease with a great capacity to get worse.

The good news is that you don't ever have to feel this way again.

Hope you feel better soon Alphabet!!

A few dry crackers might do the trick and sip some water with a dash of lemon sometimes is a winner to keep something down for an upset stomach!!

Hang in there!!

I was able to eat some rice and keep it down without issue, surprisingly. Actually feeling far better than I thought I would at this point.

Thanks for all the words of encouragement. I'm glad I didn't chose to give up again
