Distract yourself. Do SOMETHING. Have a cup of tea, take a bath, go for a walk or whatever your exercise of choice is, read, etc. Just get to the next hour, surely you can do that and then rinse and repeat.

I'm an on again off again alcoholic. Been trying my best to stay sober. Today for some reason I woke up and was immediately craving a beer. I've worked so hard this week to stay sober. I've been feeling so good. Went and got my hair done on Sunday to even treat myself for doing so good. Then today... I dunno why I'm feeling like this.

Girl, you're doing great. It's typical for the AV to fight back when it knows it's losing. Remember those are just feelings and they are not you. You can do this.

hang in there. this is a feeling. feelings pass. imagine yourself having a bad day again tomorrow-cause you caved and then get to feel hungover and guilty.

sometimes i just resign myself, after trying to cheer up all day, to just looking forward to bed time. in these (thankfully rare) instances i usually feel better in the am.

focusing positive vibes your way.

There's always going to be a few off days even in Sobriety, alcohol won't make you feel any better, instead tomorrow you'll regret it.

You are doing great and making Sobriety happen!! Keep it going!!

It happens! It'll go away, just try not to indulge the thinking.

Have a nice curry - calories much better spent - and plan what you are going to do in the morning without that awful hangover xxxxx

I ended up having a coke zero and cleaning the whole house instead. Thanks for all the kind words, friends.
