Limping home late on this Sunday night. I was stung by a STINGRAY yesterday at the beach down on the El Salvador border. Luckily there was prompt medical attention available and after receiving an injection of anti-venom (in my rear end) I was able to enjoy the rest of my mini-vacation down on the beach without further trauma. I'll have to post more on the story next week, I'm off to bed shortly to nurse my injury!

Until next time folks!

This weekend flew by way to fast. I went to see Penguins of Madagascar today and fell asleep a couple of times. Came home and took a long nap. Yummy turkey meatloaf for dinner.

BigS!!! I've never heard of anyone being stung by a stingray. That's gotta be one of my worst nightmares. I hope we get to hear the whole story of the ordeal when you have recovered. You poor thing. I'm glad you had quick access to medical attention. Feel better!

OK - time for Downton Abby. See you all later -

Ooh, HaF, turkey meatloaf sounds good. You have given me ideas. Thanks!

BigS, all I can say is "ouch". I loved the rays at the Shedd and read that people shuffle along to avoid being stung. Not a hazard I'd want to encounter. I'm saying this with a sympathetic grimace on my face.

Nofear, think of it this way - the 30 pack may very well have been on sale but think of how much more money you saved by not buying ANY! Good job. I promise, cross my heart, that it does get easier. When I went to the grocery store yesterday they were handing out wine samples. I just smiled at the woman and said "no thank you" to the lady when she offered as I passed to get my yogurt.

And now, it's ice cream time. And bed.

Wow, BigS! I'm sorry you got stung, but relieved that you were able to get immediate medical attention! It's a terrific story, though! Looking forward to hearing the details next week!

Hey LB.... I just heard on the radio here that it's crow hunting season in Maine. Have you ever heard of that?

Guess that makes a murder of crows a bit more literal.

Not answering for LB but, crow hunting is important. They're rampant and destructive. Vermin. We're overrun down here. Not enough hunters anymore. Same with deer in some locales. LBrain, come back South. Bring your guns.

Yeah, I once had a buck leap into my windshield and leave a piece of his antler in the van. He was sucked right out over the top of the van. My daughter got a big scratch on her neck--plus, she got some blood and ooze on her, and she was horrified more by that than the scratch! I was pregnant with #5 at the time; my middle two kids were goofing off in the back seat and never even realized what happened! My toddler stayed sound asleep in his carseat!

Windshield totally shattered, but no shoulders to pull over. Just drove home and shocked my husband!

We definitely need some culling in Northern VA!

I wonder how many people literally eat crow?

Good morning and happy Monday! Didn't we talk about dreams a few weeks ago? Ugh! I was trapped in a parking lot and trying to find an alternate entrance. In another segment I was in a parking ramp and got into my car, late at night, just as two people were scouting around the cars, looking to rob people. Wasn't a peaceful slumber.

Nice snowy scene Brain. I haven't been brave enough to look out the window this morning. I'm ok with the snow and the driving today. I am leaving early and not going back to office so that I can take my son to his doctors appointment. I was scouting paperwork on the refrigerator and magically found the reminder card. Today at six. I love not having to return to the office and on a Monday it's even better.

Time to wake kids and get this party started!

Good insight. I do know hunting is important.

We have two crow seasons. Now through March and again august sometime.

At work and getting into that mode. See ya!

Well this is just weird.

Last night I dreamed I was trapped in an underground parking lot with Sting, which had the potential to be a good dream (I idolized him as a teenager). We were going to do Yoga together, but the concrete was hard and cold and I was miserable. **sigh** A wonderful opportunity lost.

"Eating crow" is not recommended. Being scavengers, their meat is pretty nasty tasting.

Jerri, sorry the dream didn't have a happy ending. my mother in law gave my husband a dream dictionary for Christmas a while back. I should see if there is an entry for parking ramps and garages.

Hang in there all you east coasters. Maybe a snow support thread is called for.
