Today is harder than yesterday - day 2

I am finding it harder today... Not that I think I am going to drink but I am more agitated, scattered and irritated I feel like something is missing and I am wanting the fill that void ! I am not on any verge of drinking just wanted to share that it's a little more difficult today. Just about to go pick the kids up from school so my mind will be entertained for a bit and then well they absolutely keep me entertained. Planning on working a bit tonight doing a workout, cooking something yummy for dinner, bath and then an early night.

Anyway enough of my ramblings

it gets a little easier every day! i have kids too & they are definitely a good distraction from the idea of drinking. i've been enjoying spending more time with my kids & reminds me of WHY i'm not drinking

keep it up! you can do it!

Well done on day 2. Do you take any vitamins? Vitamin B is what you need. Ive been taking vitamin B complex for 127 days and it works.
I forgot to take it for 2 days and I was a little low. So try and see if it works for you.

I know what's missing...And what I did to fill that void was go to AA meetings...Whether you like that program or not...There is something very calming about being with people exactly like you that have figured out how to stay sober. It gave me hope...And that's just what I needed. I like your Sig...You can do this...Just remember you don't have to do it alone. And don't drink today.

For me, Day 2 is harder than day 1. Day 1 just feels tired, day 2... is when it seems to hit me. I was nearly in tears this morning, and I didn't know why. Feeling tense and irritable too. It's not as if it's a bad day.
It *will* pass. It *will* get easier. Hang in there Eihwaz. You're worth it. We all are.

Hang in there too Emily, it does get better
My emotions were all over the place. A very wise long time sober AA woman told me I was in mourning the loss of alcohol and I just kind of laughed at her. She then had me write a goodbye letter and I called her back the next day and told her out looked like some sappy love letter...she told me to keep writing till I got to the breakup.
Then I realized it was in the top 4 of my longest relationships.

it does get better and VERY different

There will be highs and lows but fortunately we get tools to deal with those ups and downs and best of all we don't have to go thru none of it alone
