Proud of not blowing up and keeping my cool just now
I only have three days sober and I can fly off the handle pretty easily anyway because of my Irish temper. However instead of doing that I bit my tongue just now with my daughter and told her that I would love for her to bring my grandkids over to my house at 6 AM so that I can watch them while she works. In my mind I wanted to tell her no because I have not seen my grandkids all week since she moved out and now it seems like she just needs me to watch them because of her work. Plus talking to her just gets me aggravated. But instead, I told her I would be thrilled to see my grandson's. I went to AAA on Tuesday and I'm also going Sunday for women's meeting and have been set up to meet with one of the ladies there who might be able to be a temporary sponsor. Question how do I change my sober date on S R? I want it to reflect the truth. June 21, 2016.
You can find those details under 'user cp', I think that stands for control panel. Look at the top of your screen, I see a black bar with user cp at the left hand side.
Congratulations to you on your progress! You have a lot to be proud of. Three days is great. It gets easier then it gets better. And then it gets a lot better.
You can do this thing, and already you are seeing the why. Good luck and keep posting, ok? Lots of support here for you.

The more that I learn to keep my cool
it seems to become even easier to do
an excellent habit to have.
After 8 years away from the drink still working on it.
Sometimes the best way in which to show love
is to say nothing at all.
I have to keep resorting back to that.
The AA book says that, I needed to let go of some old ideas.

Today is a good day. I went to a meeting yesterday. AA women's meeting and I spoke with two women who invited me to dinner tonight. I told them and it is so true that I REALLY need to connect with people in AA, not just sit in the meetings and never meet anyone. I feel really good about this start. Thank you all so much for your support. It is a lifesaver. Hope you all have a good wee..
