yay, more leos!!! another one here.

Jess, yeah, 2000 miles is a long way to go AGAIN with an angry teenager especially, and you've found the perfect apartment....
there is likely more than one job in Florida, too.

good to hear you're doing alright through it all.

ach, that's too bad, Jess.

tough to have finances up in the air, esp. when you have a teenager to support.

They missed a great opportunity.

On the other hand, during my Navy career most of the assignments I worked hard to get I ended up disliking and most of the assignments I tried to avoid I ended up loving. Perhaps you have more to be thankful for than you realize.

The law of averages for catching a break has got to be on your side.

Well, I can appeal the decision and I do plan on doing that. Of-course it takes time.... and money. On the bright side I have a low paying job offer.... I may take it. I have a much higher paying interview on Wed. and I got a little apartment. Not in the area I wanted but, none of this move has gone the way I planned. 32 days now in a hotel.....uugghh. Happy to have found the place!!!!!!!!!
The kiddo is in school and happy to be back in the city. Despite a quickly depleting savings account and fear of the unknown I still think that I made the right decision to move.
I made mistakes in my past and there is nothing I can do about the past when the "beast" was in the drivers seat... (lol, it was a DUI charge) but, now I am back in control and still hoping for the best.

Nice as always to hear from you Non and Fini. Would have checked in sooner but, my computer caught a virus from this crappy hotel, unsecured network....

I did... I did... I did. And the pay is good. I am loving my apartment and am starting to feel a bit more at home. Been over 9 months...since my one night relapse. Been 18 months since I decided to change my life. RR saved me.... oh wait.. I saved me. Having a good night and super excited to start my new job on Thursday.

Thx guys and gals....
I have a few more steps left on the appeal before I can send in the very long packet and get a hearing. The job is ok and things are mostly good. My jeep had a 2000.00 issue so that was an unneeded set back but, luckily I planned this move well and had a decent savings. Oh and a stray kitten adopted me.... so now I have a small kitten named piper. Thats about it.....
I am working late nights (which I hate but, it pays the bills) so I am not on here as much as I would like. Plus my computer is falling apart so I need a new one but, that is not in the budget.... since the budget is zero after car repairs.
Will check in when I find out about the exemption.
As always glad to be sober,
Jess

As long as you have a vehicle you will have somewhere to pour your money! Sorry that you had troubles but with luck you'll have many more trouble free miles. And while it sucks a friend of mine once told me that if money can fix something it's not a problem, it's an expense. That is so true! Expenses suck but they're not "problems" per se. Cancer is a problem, arthritis and global warming are problems, but expenses are overcome by time and work.

I'm glad to hear that things are, on the balance, going well. Congrats on letting a kitty adopt you! I don't own any pets since my work schedule would make an animal neurotic but I do love dogs and cats. Someday I want to get a doggie, maybe a Westie or a Yorkie.
