| Any other furries out there?
Was wondering if there's any other furs out there. If you are, or are into the fandom, you'll of course know what I mean, if not, it has to do with anthropomorphic animals, and a good introduction to it can be found here: Furry - WikiFur, the furry encyclopedia |

Windy, stuff worn for your gig outside Chik-Fil-A doesn't count :P

Windy, so do you feel any particular affinity towards chickens?? Are you a Rooster or a Hen? Do you like to lay eggs??? Do you have your own coop? :P I still don't have a full fursuit of my character or 'fursona', but hope to learn to sew one some time soon. He's a husky/malaute mix, as you've probably guessed. I don't belong to a furry community but years ago when I worked for a costume shop I used to borrow furry animal costumes for the weekend and wear them in the city for fun. I used to get loads of free hugs from kids and grown-ups which I really enjoyed. My fave was a hand made wallaby costume, it was so cute. I can totally understand why you are into it, it was great. Much love, Faerie xx

LOL. This is my favorite thread of all time. I rarely wear the chicken suit. I wear it to parties every now and then and when I ride on Mardi Gras floats.

Faerie, that sounds fun. One aspect of the fandom I like is that there is a lot of hugging. Especially at the big furry conventions, hugs galore. I remember going to church one with a babysitter (my parents never went to church, so have only been in one a few times) and at the end, you hugged the people around you. I was bored the whole time, till then, and was never one to believe in a traditional God, yet I always have remembered that part, it was nice. We have a sewing machine, and I want to learn to sew, so maybe I can make my own fur-suit, most likely a husky/malamute with a few neon accents. I have a few favorite furries our there, I'd really like a suit like this: ![]() Well, one reason not to drink, to save up and have time to learn how to make such an outfit. Also, it is a way to let go of the serious side of me, and be goofy, have fun, be silly, and a way to do so without drinking. I wish the furry scene had been around as a subculture when I was growing up...I was more the literary minded yet angry punk rocker.....furries seem like a mixture of gooiness, with a more down to earth and honest way of accepting their quirks. Here I am in my chicken suit getting ready to ride in a Mardi Gras parade. My buddies there are cholos. Behind us is our Mardi Gras float. It is a Mexican Space Shuttle(it had smoke and everything). MASA = Mexican Aeronautical Space Administration.
