Good News - SoberRecovery : Alcoholism Drug Addiction Help and Information

I am happy to say that the Secrery of State Appeals department is accepting SMART recovery program.

I had to attend a hearing to restore drivers license. At the hearing was told this program was not accepted. And felt pushed into another program. A friend made some calls after I ordered the transcript of the hearing.

Now they need information on this group to up-date hearing officers. Paying $147 for the transcript was the best money I ever spent.

That's great news for all in recovering in Michigan. The more programs available the better chance an addict or alcoholic finds one to help themselves stay clean and sober.

It did take some time to do this. 4 of my rights were violated. Just glad that it opened up other programs for people.

The hearing officers will be trained to ask questions on this group in the future. I was the first one in this area to use a different program. And they did not know how to question me.

Just glad that peple have a choice now.
