Pine Trees Know
Pine Trees Know
Something I found interesting and unique.
“The Pine trees start their new growth in the weeks before Easter – if you look at the tops of the Pine trees two weeks before, you will see the yellow shoots. As the days get closer to Easter Sunday, the tallest shoot will branch off and form a cross. By the time Easter Sunday comes around, you will see that most of the Pine trees will have small yellow crosses on all of the tallest shoots.” They look like tiny golden crosses in the sunlight.

I have seen those shoots on the trees, but now I want to go look in more detail.. their forming crosses at Easter would be incredible.
I have a cactus that blooms at Easter time and around Christmas.. I have no idea why those times; but Ive been watching it for a few weeks now, and the blooms are now bright pink.

That is really cool! So interesting.
I am in Florida and in my front yard we have a small palm tree. Someone told me it is called a Christmas palm but I've never looked it up to verify. All year round it has a cluster of green berries hanging from it but in the month of December they turn red. Then turn back to green again but I haven't noticed exactly when. You can always count on them being red on Christmas though. Neat!

P.S. Just found it online. Our berries aren't down so low though. They are right under the bottom palm fronds. http://www.florida-palm-trees.com/christmas-palm-tree/
