Hey, I wish I had a little more info like-why they took your son.I'm guessing it's because you are abusing alcohol or drugs? If thats the case then maybe the best place to start would be to get yourself into treatment. Your baby needs you clean and sober! otherwise you are no good to him. I am involved with DSS also(in mass) and I am very familar with your situation. The best advice I can give you is get into treatment. I personally went to a program where I could go with my son and it was the best thing I ever did and I've been clean ever since. I know how hard it is to be seperated and it's almost as if you're free to continue using now, without having to worry about your son but you 'll never get him back if thats the way you look at it. It's the most painful thing I think that can happen to a mother-losing there child because of their own actions-but maybe try and look at it as if it's a higher power intervening-maybe to get your attention that this gotta stop-and maybe a higher power has put your son in a safer situation for now-God I hope so.There really isn't any magic words that can take your pain away but hopefully knowing you are not the only one this has happened to and that you can get him back, will help-but 1st you gotta take care of you! No court or judge would ever keep a child away from a mother who is doing the right thing(even if they had made mistakes in the past). I will pray for you.

as above, tough to know where to start w/o the background.... If it is continuing to use that had him removed, pleeeaaasssse get into rehab and show the system your honest and absolute desire to be the mother he needs... and give it everything you've got...
