question on relationships in recovery - SoberRecovery : Alcoholism Drug Addiction Help and Information

Hi my name is James and I'm an addict.

First off I was in a relationship for 9 months with someone who was also an addict. In April we both decided to get clean. I felt it was best for me to try to do it on my own and seperated with her. We have kept in constint touoch. In the last month or so she has dropped hints like she would like to get back together. I love this women with all my heart, but i'm affraid to put my feelings and recovery in jepordy. I was just wanting to get some feed back on if anyone thinks it is ok or not. Also any experience in this area would also help.

It isn't a new relationship but a repair of an old.
You would need ask yourself... is this something I want?
Her staying clean and sober isn't a gaurantee.
Weigh out the cause and affects of things and find your answer that way maybe?
Your recovery being your number one goal right now.
