The End of The Road

I read a lot. But I don't think I've read a sentence yet that describes the end of a relationship like this one...
"He and I had gone through our days with such good intentions, but with the imagination leaking out of our togetherness."

There's probably a reason for that.

Here's my fave:
"Into the dream you came, and across the soft carpet of my reverie you walked with hobnail boots."

I don't know what got into me when I married you, but i'm over it now.
