I'm new-is there a forum for love addiction - SoberRecovery : Alcoholism Drug Addiction Help and Information

I found this thread because I believe I am a sex/love addict, in a most disturbing sort of way. Whenever I meet someone I really love and want to be with, it seems like they don't feel the same way, and then I go on a rampage and sleep with numerous women that I'm not attracted to or interested in. Not only that, I lead these women on to think that I AM seriously interested in them, just to get quick sex out of them. In the last week I have done this with 3 women, following a bad ending a few weeks ago, with a woman I wanted to marry. Rather than continue and let these three find out about each other, tomorrow I will most likely find a 4th person who I consider "better", and sleep with them, and then I'll feel better about blowing the 3 women off.

Although you might think I'm some freak after readnig so far, I actually appear to be just some normal, reasonably attractive, nice guy. I could in fact very well be the next guy you meet.

Well you have reached step one... realized there is a problem and accepting it as a problem

There are web sites that deal with sex issues. I am sure someone who knows the site locations will come along and post them.
Think on this...

You say it causes problems...so it is a real problem in your life
You say you are going with woman that you don't really care to...
Who is in control of your life?
Or should I say What is in control of your life?
A slave to sex and a sex slave are not the same thing.

Good to see you already know that and are looking for answers.
