| For the sake of the children...
... if you have children or are going to have them..... .. please remember, that as their mother and father ... you are everything to them. What you do effects them. What you think effects them. Go to any length to get better... cause it's not just your life that's at stake. It's their lives as well... and they might opt out on YOU. Like Christopher. Another young life gone. Taken by his own hand. I met his grandmother when she dabbled in Alanon. 16 years ago. And I met his mother when she dabbled in AA and NA nearly as long ago. Christopher was young enough then that the mother and grandmother's recovery could have broken the cycle... but both of them never stuck around until they "got" it... preferring instead to go the prescription medication route to maintain a flat affect... and when even that wouldn't numb out the mother... she left her children because she couldn't take the stress and moved to the opposite side of the country. She was here to visit a few weeks ago... and she left as soon as she could ... and her son couldn't take it anymore. So he permanently left. I pray for the two younger daughters that remain. Life makes little sense to me today... and I have a terrible anger against people that have children and then put them dead last... Blessings on your young soul Christopher. May you finally find peace in the ALL. |

(((((Bikewench))))) I'm so sorry that this story had such an unhappy ending. I join you in wishing Christopher peace in the all. I will keep the two younger daughters that remain in my prayers. This was a very somber reminder that this is a family disease. Sending some light your way Bikewench, Much love, Gabe |
