| Confessions of the Not Quite Well
Dino got a job in a city 75 miles north. This is a good job in his field and I'll still get to see him so it's a very good thing. He found his own apartment. This is probably the only place on earth where I could type that statement and everyone reading it could understand what a momentous thing that is. The only thing I did was print off a list of apartments from a website. He got his own newspaper, did all the calling and I didn't even go with him. Then when he was getting ready to sign the lease, he called and asked me to be here in case he wanted me to talk to the landlord. (?) He was losing his confidence I guess. Anyway, I decided I had to take the videos back to the store right then. It was silly to think he would need me, what would I know from down here? And somehow it seemed to me if he called me in at the last minute it would mar the acheivement. So I told him I couldn't hang around. His next move was going to be to drive south to his parents house to get his stuff and he was going to call me and tell me which apartment he took. His cellphone generally doesn't work from the roads he has to take to get to his folks place... nor from their house. So it isn't surprising that he hasn't phoned. I was away when he would have still been in range. So there I was trying to be all recovered and let him be all recovered and now I'm all fussed. Is the lease signed? Which apartment did he get? Can the cat visit? When is he moving in? Achieving balance will be the next step. Let go, not shot put. Everybody be all proud of us, please.

(((((((Smoke))))))) Are you ok with him getting his own place? I mean...that is huge. Since I've known you, your place has been his place, sorta...you know what I mean. While I think it's totally great he's gotten a job and is being, gulp, responsible, I've been through this and I know how it feels to no longer be the one in, uh, uh, what's the word???? I think you get my drift...:wink2: Recovery is good. Change is good. But change ain't always easy. So, how ya doin? Oh, and I'm EXTREMELY proud! Just taking your pulse, that's all!

He's had his own place before. I would have liked it if I hadn't been paying for it.
