Heading into the holiday season, fresh off a break-up
Aside from being a recovering alcoholic, I was also diagnosed with severe depression with intent to harm myself, one month after my break-up (which occured on my 60th day of sobriety). But I've developed strong coping skills while being locked in a crisis home. I eventually came to believe the sober life with hope & realized things about my ex and her illness and how it would not be in my best interest for my new life. However, there are a few triggers (like last weekend) that sent me back into a funk.
Now the Holidays are coming up. How have you guys, entering the Holidays fresh off a break up, deal with it?

It's now near the holiday...I decided to volunteer with the women in recovery at the homeless shelter...feels good to find a way to give something to someone else, the best prescription for me to escape self pity.
