The greatest gift in my sobriety

The greatest gift in my sobriety is my son. He will be 2 in a few days time. Here is something I wrote about him.

Nicely written, my wife and I adopted a five year old boy 3 years ago (he's now 8) and it has been a wonderful experience. I recently looked at him, looked a the full wine glass, the half empty bottle, the full recylce container and had a moment of certainty that I don't want to drink again. I am only on day two but I am managing to stay busy so I hope to make it through the next 30 plus days.

Thanks for your note.

Well done Hanker, a great thing about sobriety is that we really get to appreciate our families. We might think we appreciate them when we are drunk, but we don't - not really.
