Round trip in 24 hrs

IT HAS TAKEN ME 24HRS ABOUT TO SURRENDER. I AM MARRIED WITH A 14 MONTH BABY AND I FIND THIS PART OF MY LIFE TO BE VERY CHALLANGING. WHEN I STARTED RECOVERY I WAS SINGLE AND A SINGLE PARENT OF A 7YR OLD, SO THIS IS A BRAND NEW CHAPTER. FOR ME RELATIONSHIPS ARE THE MOST CHALLANGING AND TO BE HONEST I AM AT A PLACE WHERE i DONT GIVE A HOOT I AM JUST GOING TO LET GO BECAUSE THE MORE I TRY AT RELATIONSHIPS THE MORE COMPLICATED IT GETS. I WANT TO RELAX, MY HUSBAND AND I HAVE BEEN WORKING ON ISSUES SINCE BEFORE WE GOT MARRIED AND ITS BEEN INTENSE AND DRAMATIC TO SAY THE LEAST. I CAN VISION BALANCE FOR MY LIFE BUT ACCOMPLISHING BALANCE FOR ME IS NOT AS EASY AS I HAD HOPED FOR ESPECIALLY WITH THIS NEW BABY. MY HUSBAND AND I DO NOT HAVE INTIMATE FRIENDS TO HELP US WITH THIS BABY. THERE WAS A SHIP THAT HAPPEDED IN OUR RELATIONSHIPS SHORTLY AFTER I HAD THE BABY AND THOSE PAST FRIENDSHIPS DONT FIT WHERE WE ARE AT IN OUR LIVES TODAY. I SUPPOSE OUR SITUATION IS A LITTLE DIFFERENT. WE ARE OLDER THAT MOST NEWLY MARRIED COUPLES WITH A NEW BABY MY HUSBAND IS 52 AND I AM 44. oR MAYBE THATS MY EXCUSE NOT TO GET OUT AND MINGLE WITH THESE YOUNGER MOMS AND DADS, BUT I HAVE TRIED, WELL MAYBE ITS TIMING.

I was an older mother, and I just jumped in to Mom's day out baby programs, playtime with moms, etc. The younger mom's liked the wisdom I brought to the table and they brought me the will to stay young. Now my baby is 15 and my friends are all in their early 40's. Age really doesn't make a difference, connection on a spiritual and friendship level does. You'll find friends that share the same childrearing values, and your kids will become friends, which sure helps the communication about the stuff they can get into, as you probably have found out from your older one. Go Do it!
