Dear Mom: I'm sorry you wanted/want to die. I'm sorry you are stuck with dad. I'm sorry you are depressed. I'm sorry you work all day and night to stay away from home. I'm sorry I don't really know you. I'm sorry you had a ****** childhood. I'm sorry your so unhappy. I'm sorry your married to him. Dead Justin: I'm sorry that people make fun of you. I'm sorry that people treat you like ****. I'm sorry that sometimes I do too. I'm sorry mom drank when she had you. I'm sorry you have OCD and Aspergers. I'm sorry that people don't understand you. I'm sorry you have so much hate, anger, and pain. Dear Kristin: I'm sorry you are so angry. I'm sorry you have to be here 2 more years. I'm sorry you didn't have a mom. I'm sorry you feel so alone. I'm sorry I hurt you. I'm sorry that they refuse to get u help. I'm so sorry but I love u more than life itself. Dear old friends: I'm sorry I was "cooler" when I was using. but **** you. I just needed to get that out. |

Sometimes those things feel good to get out. For me, I started feeling better about myself when I started to understand that they were imperfect just like me. Then my letters became, Mom, I know Dad was self absorbed and hard to live with, but thanks for your sacrifice to stay with him as I never had to experience the hardships of being a child of divorce...Dad, I know you were egocentric and self involved but it was those very traits that allowed you to be so successful in your business, so thank you for putting me through college and making it possible for me to be physically not in need for anything, etc. For me, looking for the positives, just took the negativity out of my life. Just a thought, but glad you came here to vent. |
