meetings - SoberRecovery : Alcoholism Drug Addiction Help and Information

What type of meeting does one go to who is in a serious committed relationship with someone who is recovering from both alchoholism and drug dependency? I want to be handling this in a healthy and helpful way. He's serious about getting better, and I'd like to be an asset to his recovery.

He's three months sober.

Congrads on his sober time. That is wonderful to hear! BUT (funny how there is always a but) if you really want to be an asset to "anyone" I would strongly suggest that you seek recovery for yourself. I currently work a program in CoDA but have some years in Al-Anon too and that might be the best place for you to start to take a look at you issues and put the focus on yourself.

I had no idea how sick I was till after my "one" of the alcoholics I was involved with was about 3 months sober, wow what an eye opener!

It is good to meet you and I look forward to seeing more of your posts.
