Just checkin in ....

Great to see everyone again -
and to see so few posts here
tells me everyone is doing well... as well?

SInce 'winter break' from school
I've had a massive return of pain
and stomach problems.

SO after four years of roller coaster diagnoses,
and having medications thrown at me
faster than I could catch...

...while still hurting and barely able to function
even in this new higher mobilityenvironment....

I've decided to fire the clinic.

There's another clinic here in town
that is far more expensive
but I may be able to get in on the new state insurance.

Well - we shall see what we shall see!

I'm over this.

Bst new years wishes to everyone here
and wondering where the heck y'al are?

Good for you! Four years is way too long to have no relief. I've fired my share of docs and kept "shopping" until I found some that were both knowledgeable and had good "bedside manner". Whadya know, they _listened_ to me and worked _with_ me to find tests and meds that are helping me live a half-way normal life.

I think docs are like shoes. It makes a huge difference to shop around and find one that fits "just right" <big grin>

Busy. Very busy. Between the alanoids and the alkies there's a flood of new people coming in. This time of year is "recruiting season" doncha know?

LOL Mike-

It just seemed kinda... quiet over here is all.

I read up on the Tramadol
and found that
ulcers are a fairly common side effect
of the drug.

yippee.
(to be read dripping with sarcasm)

So - yeah -

I've got a clinic at the college
and then there'sthis other one in town.
Got to get my school $$$ before
swinging in to the new clinic
for a howdy doo.

Hang in - stay strong!

I haven't been in this forum in awhile...little activity, and kinda just quit checking.

Sorry to hear you're feeling rough, Barb. I've had a couple of semesters that were rougher than normal, pain-wise, and it taught me to a) be self-motivated and b) realize that less than an A in a course was not the end of the world. Keep putting one tender foot in front of the other, and you'll get there.

Peace & Love,
Sugah

Luckily, I'll have two professors I had last semester
and they're apprised of the situation with me.

The others -
all told my advisor
that they were so impressed
that I did manage 'A' work
when bedridden without a computer.

And-
the walk from the parking lot
was (is) so severe
that I'd throw up when I got to the building.

And that -
got me a preferred parking sticker
and it's far better now.

SO I'm actually looking forward to starting over
and maybe getting some REAL help.
