| The Pain has me crazy
I've had chronic pain for many many years I usually handle it pretty well. DX fibromyalgia 5 years ago, also slipped and bulging disc lower back, 2 herniated dics in neck with cervical stenosis and arthritis, right shoulder rotator cuff tear, few m,onths ago right knee torn my acl and meniscus, bursitis in right hip, and now instead of having widespread muscle pain my bones hurt so bad it feels like someone has stabbed a kinfe intpo em and is scraping the hell outta them! My neck goes into spasms and I about pass out, the left sde of head goes completely numb, I can't smell things right anymore, my hearing in right ear is getting bad and it hurts like hell, my legs don't want to hold me up anymore, I am beginning to fall more. I am terrified. My last bloodwork wasn't normal so I have to go see a rheumatologist. I saw on my blood lab slip I had a pregnancy hcg test ordred??? I had a partial hysterectomy in 1998! LOL.........i looked it up i guess it can be a marker for a tumor or for cancer? I don't know................sorry bout the long vent......but I am going plum crazy and I have to work 11-7 again tonght. I know I won't be able to work much longer and it makes me soooo sad and angry too! I am getting so sick and I don't think it is fibromyalgia. I think whatever it is it is trying to kill me. one doc thought i had rheumatoid arthritis a few years ago some of the tests were positive but not enough so?? I am confused and frustrated and don't know how much more I can take. I get eye pain so bad I far I will go blind. They found my thyroid was overactive a few months ago. i get heart paplitations.......pulse will race to 154 just sitting still. Had to wear a holter monitor n have that checked. I don't understand why every day now it seems it's something else going on...........i hope this next doc is plenty smart and has detective skills. Has anyone ele exprienced this rapid progression of whatever is wromg with them? can fibromyalgia do all this??

I don't know much about fibro but I really hope your new doctor will be able to help 2Stop. We have a few fibro sufferers here too, so maybe they can help with their experience ![]() D

2stop, I have fibro and it's maddening. I had many of the symptoms you describe. I'm feeling much better these days. I have a really good rheumatologist, he's really been able to help me feel so much better! I used to get "trigger point" injections that helped with the pain. I haven't needed one in years now. For me, many of the pain meds made me feel worse. I use vitamins and minerals and some herbal remedies. They help. I also do self-hypnosis for relaxation and to help me get a better quality of sleep. You might ask your doctor about this. Please keep us posted on how you're doing. Love, Lenina |

one rheumatologists told me he wouldn't recomend trigger point injections because they wouldn't help for long and it woud be a waste! doctors are crazy i swear. the crazy part is now rhe pain is in my bones more.........just crazy, my upper arms hurt so bad I can hardly move them..............maybe just the stress of my dad nearly dying last week of a staph infection has me all riled up physically and emotionally. it doesn't help that since we lost our house last Thanskgiving I sleep on a couch the kids each have a bedroom and hubby n I sleep in living room. i really really really need to keep working so we can have money to move to a bigger house, and preferably ranch style/one levl. I can't believe the stairs hurt me so bad. I ma 38 and I feel 90. I am mad as all get out tonight LOL................working these two 11-7's will have me crazier yet. Thursday and sundays I work 3-11. oh man. My family will not like me much if I can't work, my only worth is what money I make..........they don't respect me if I am a housewife. i love money as muc as the next guy but I gotta be alive to enjoy it. forgive my rantin and a ravin.just have to get it out............i'll feel better soon I hope......i do meditation and some yoga stretches and deep breathing exercises but nothing is helping here lately, usually the flare ups die down a bit by now........ thanks for sharing with me.......{{{hugs}}}

2Stop, It seems the fibro is worse for me at season changes. And right before it rains. I don't know, barometric changes or what. Not having a regular sleep schedule can cause the flare ups too. And course, the stress of which you seem to be having a huge amount of! For me, the narcotics seemed to mess with my endorphins and made the pain seem extra bad as time wore on. I don't know why your doctor wouldn't give you the trigger point injections. I avoid caffeine, it seems to over-stimulate me. I also lost a bunch of weight during one flare-up due to the IBS. Be sure you stay hydrated. I'm so sad you have such a tough time of it but you know, I bet if you ask your family, they will tell you how much they love and depend on you. Has your doctor mentioned hydro-areobics? The warm water and gentle exercise might help you feel better. I try to get some natural sunlight on my face every day. My doctor says the light helps the brain reset. Please know I'll keep you in my positive thoughts. I know how miserable it can be during a flare up. Love, Lenina |
