I am so completely fed up and scared... I think I have more than the fibromyalgia that I was diagnosed with many years ago. For 5 days now I have been having the sensation of pins and needles sticking into my fingers, hands, toes and feet. This happens when I get up and move around mostly. The first time it happened it felt llike i needle stuck into my 2nd toe. I sat down and looked and nothing was ther. It have sinced then spread and worsened. Another thing is my left eye has been blurry. I had an eye exam not to long ago and was given glasses to wear. It doesn't matter if I have the glasses on or off. Sometime it gets so blurry I can hardly see at all out of that eye, but it never lasts. I have decided the only thing I can do now is pray!!! My health just seems to be declining and it has basically turned me into a hermit. Does anyone else have anything simalar to this

Hi there TooMutch, and have a (((( hug )))). A gentle one cuz I know it hurts I don't have fibro, but I do have a related inflamatory disease called Autonomic Neuropathy. I went thru a number of diagnosis, including fibro, before the docs finally figure out what was going on. Those sudden pains you describe, like a needle jamming into the skin for no apparent reason, is exactly what I get. From what I have heard from other neuropathy people I know, and from my docs, it's a pretty common symptom of nerve inflamation. Besides praying, I have done quite a bit of doctor shopping. I now have a team of docs that _listens_ to my needs and is willing to experiment with various meds until we found a "recipe" that works for me. For example, I am taking steroids (which suppress inflamation) and Depakote, which is usually given to folks with epilepsy. That recipe works really good for me. Ok, so I'm not dancing in the streets, but I can hold down a desk job. I know that last thing I wanted to do when I was very ill was go doctor shopping, but I am really glad I did. Dunno if any of that does you any good. Know that you are in my prayers every day. Mike

I have both MS and fibro and their symptoms are very, very, very similar. The docs only diagnosed me with fibro because of the pain I expereince as they don't think MS causes pain but pick a number because depending on who you talk to, depends on what they think MS is/causes. Dunno if you've been to your doctor by I'd suggest you do because MS and fibro, as I said, have very, very similar symptoms. And because of the eye thing. MS has the eye thing (problems) but I am unsure if fibro does.
