| Anyone taking Lyrica?
Hey all, The Dr. who is going to give me an injection for my back gave me some sample pills and a script for Lyrica. He told me a little about it but what has me concerned about it is the side effects. Is there anyone out there who has had a good/bad experience with this drug? Thanks Wantingit!! |

I don't have any experience with Lyrica, just wanted to say hello and welcome you to this forum. Don't want you to feel ignored. The regulars wander on by thru out the week, so just be patient and you'll get some more replies. Mike

I was prescribed Lyrica for fibro myalgia. I didn't' have any side effects I am aware of but I only used for 2 months. It certainly did help the irritable bowel cramps and diarrhea but not the sleep problems or chronic pain I have. I decided it was too expensive when librax and lotomil worked just as well. Hope you're feeling better and do let us know if the Lyrica works for you! Love, Lenina |

I take it for migraine prevention. At first I got a little drowsy, so I moved my dose to night time only in the beginning. I had another interesting side effect. It took away my strongest cravings to abuse my pain pills.

I was takin it for herniated discs/migraines & it made me real drowsy, weird dreams, and hungover in the morn. Then I found out I'm pregnant so I weaned myself off it , it's been 2 weeks & I feel much better. If you've been takin it for awhile you must taper off it or it can cause lots of probs.- seizures, etc. It seemed to only minimally help my pain- the vicodin & methadone worked much better

hi there i take lyrica for fibromyalgia..its been about 6months to a year...i have had some bad side effects from it like extreme weight gain..from 110 lbs to 130 lbs in 3 weeks and have continued to gain weight i am now at 150 lbs..i also have noticed that my vision is blurry after taking a dose and when it begins to wear off my vision is no better i can even read writing on the tv anymore or look at the guide to choose a channel...the upside is i no longer suffer the unstandalbe pain i had in my jaw neck and shoulder area...its also helped with other pain i experience on a daily basis and has cut down on my need for vicodine...i had to weigh which was more important to me...the pros or cons...i decided to continue lyrica because nothing else has worked as well on my pain and i know i dont want to go back to living like that...it also causes drowisness until you get used to it like any other drug...i hope this helps you...wingnut49421
