Question Hypersensitive question

I have chronic pain in my back and not sure why besides what the MRI shows (buldging discs, osteo arthristis, spurs). I also had three babies so close together and when I carried my twins we think I may have broken my pelvic bone which doesn't help me sleeping. I wake when I go on my sides. I get an MRI of the pelvic this week, not sure if it will show anything from eight years ago would it?
Last week I went to my drs for a test where they check my nerves or my reflexes. I was scared of the shocks and sure enough she put the first check on and it was like a bolt of lightening running through me and I screamed and started to hyperventilate. I felt sooooooo stupid. I said "ok maybe that just startled me and let's try it again" so she did and the same thing happend. She said "you're hypersensitive" and we bailed out of the testing. I wanted to cry. I told her I was very sorry I couldn't continue.
I'm not sure what happend or what all of this means. I am jumpy to the touch but not sure why. I've looked it up online and nothing really explains what this means.
I take my prescribed medication but the pain pills do not take away the sensitivity, only the edge off of the back pain.
What is this and what is done about it? Is it a pinched nerve? Are my nerves wrecked? I was so embarrased I didn't want to ask her but to run out of the office. My best friend had this test done and said it was nothing. I lie to you not.......it was like lightening.

Hypersensitivity is a component of a condition I have - RSD. If I don't regularly desensitize my legs, I can't stand to be touched, can't tolerate changes in temperature, and can't even stand to wear pants or snug shoes. I desensitize by rubbing the skin, and it cuts down on the zapping reaction of the nerves in my legs.

I don't know if that's much use to you. I know that if I get lazy about it, I regret it.

Peace & Love,
Sugah

I have hypersenstive or dull sensation (depending on the day) as I have MS. I have also had the electricity feeling down my spine but it wasn't painful. I'd describing it has more creepy than anything. Freaked me out to begin with then I got used to it, then it went away. MS is like that.

Don't think for a moment I am saying YOU have MS, I just thought I'd share my ESH so you get some replies. It sucks being sick!

I'm glad your going to the doctors too. I have a tendency to diagnose myself at times, after all my years of medical training. Doing this can be unhelpful to say the least.

Take it easy

A suggestion

I have several chronic conditions which cause chronic pain yet are not apparent to the casual person observing me. They are referred to as "invisible diseases". I participate in a message board devoted to the invisible diseases. The website includes fibro, ms, rheumatoid arthritis, migraines, some to do with subluxating joints and tons more. You can get tons of information about specific conditions, treatments, meds, doctors, symptoms, and general support. You may be able to go on there and learn more about hypersensitivity or any other symptoms. The website is called but you don't look sick with all the spaces removed. I only hope to be of help and hope my suggestion doesn't violate any rules.

Take care,
Kellye
