Unhappy sober in AA & on percs

Hi I am new to this site. I had major orthopedic surgery in March. broken leg, leg legnthened, sraightened, ankle chopped up to make a new joint. had the metal frame off late june. i am on 10/325 percs. my md told me my need is "high and xcessive" for meds and to see a pain service for chronic pain. i went thru this surgery to get out of pain.i've taken on 7-8 a day for 6 months and he never said anything about it. he says they will check on him ?fda) if he continues, does that sound right?now i take about 4 a day. i can't work in my very physically demanding job, but i am trying 4 hours. then the leg kills. i am trying to cut down. one day i had 2, most days 3-4. today 5. i find i am sweating alot and depressed. can't see the pain md until october. what are your thoughts?:wtf2

Have you asked him about other pain management options? Asking him what he is comfortable with? Maybe contacting your insurance company and asking them about other pain management facilities that can help you?

Those are just some of the ideas I can think of.

I wish you luck and less pain.
