The Right (Spiritual) Equipment

Preacher used the following joke to open his 'talk' on having the right equipment, and what we do with it.......... :

A man was planning the vacation of his dreams; he and his wife were going camping, where he would fish all day, relax and have wonderful time.....

Althought his wife didn't fish; she just couldn't get into the sitting and waiting.......for what? but she went, and made the most of it; she would sit by the tent, and read, looking out on the beautiful lake, and the trees......and she was content and happy......so it was a good vacation for her too.....

One day, the husband came in early from fishing and went into the tent for a nap. His wife decided it was time for her to 'see what it's all about' so she took the boat out into the lake. Now, she wasn't going to fish; none of that for her!!! But, she did anchor the boat, and sat back seeing a new perspective of her environs, and relaxed and read..........

A short time later a game warden came up to her boat and asked, "Good afternoor, ma'am, what are you doing?" Well the lady, looking down at her book, thought it was quite obvious, but she replied demurely, "just sitting here enjoying the lovely day....reading."

The game warden then replied, "Well, this is a fishing restricted area, and I'm afraid I'm going to have to cite you."

"But, I'm not fishing," the lady replied, confused. "Yes," the warden replied, "but you have all the equipment."

After a moment, the lady said, "Well, I guess I'm going to have to charge you with rape."

"But I've not even touched you," cried the warden.

"Yes, but you have all the right equipment," the lady stated. :okay:


And yes we do.................now it's just a matter of picking up that good ole bag of spiritual tools, and using them........:shades2:
