Today is International Emoji day. I was ghosting tele while posting here. A kid's network were interviewing kinds on whether they thought using emoji's instead of real words was okay. One bright young lady (about 10) said 'yes, but not adults..because that is just weird.'

All in the Family
A young couple drove several miles down a country road, not saying a word. An earlier discussion had led to an argument, and neither wanted to concede their position.

As they passed a barnyard of mules and pigs, the husband sarcastically asked, “Are they relatives of yours?”

“Yes,” his wife replied. “I married into the family.”

Kids in a Hospital
Two little kids are in a hospital, lying on gurneys next to each other, outside the operating room.

The first kid leans over and asks, “What are you in here for?”

The second kid says, “I’m in here to get my tonsils out and I’m a little nervous.”

The first kid says, “You’ve got nothing to worry about. I had that done when I was four. They put you to sleep, and when you wake up they give you lots of Jell-O and ice cream. It’s a breeze.”

The second kid then asks, “What are you here for?”

The first kid says, “A circumcision.”

And the second kid says, “Whoa, Good luck, buddy, I had that done when I was born… Couldn’t walk for a year.

That performance reminds me of the type of birds called "bower birds." XAH and I watched a show about them, narrated by David Attenborough, who clearly loves the topic. It was fascinating in the same way this little fish guy is!

Here is a short clip about bower birds, featuring David A. If any of you are into nature documentaries, I cannot recommend David Attenborough's bird documentaries highly enough.

honeypig...the bower birds are equally fascinating! The whole thing is so sweet.....
Maybe human males could learn a couple of things from some other species?
What good housekeepers and such an eye for design.....

Mystic Reading
In a dark and hazy room, peering into a crystal ball, the mystic delivered grave news:
“There’s no easy way to say this, so I’ll just be blunt – prepare yourself to be a widow. Your husband will die a violent and horrible death this year.”
Visibly shaken, Laura stared at the woman’s lined face, then at the single flickering candle, then down at her hands. She took a few deep breaths to compose herself.
She simply had to know. She met the fortune teller’s gaze, steadied her voice, and asked:
“Will I be acquitted?”
