Dear Doug,

I have not had a drink for a considerable period of time, but I still suffer from regular rug burns. Should I seek professional help?

Deg, get some polysporin. It's great for rug burn. Professional help is always an option, but that will help in the meantime.

I might enjoy the occasional rug burn as long as it's the 'splicable kind.

I find that rug burns can be avoided if you put a nice soft fluffy comforter down first. I found that back rubs lead to rug burns.
