Labour pains

An expectant mother goes into labour and is sped to the hospital by her anxious husband.

In the delivery room while she is being prepped, the doctor tells them about an ingenious new invention called the Cambio3000 that will allow the father of the child to share some of the mothers pain of childbirth.

After only a moments hesitation the father- to- be agrees to be hooked up to the machine and shortly thereafter the birth pains begin.

"I will start you off slowly " says the doctor. "Just let me know how much pain you can handle"

The mother screams in agony. The husband looks at the doctor. "Turn it up higher " he says. "I don't feel a thing"

The doctor cranks up the machine. The wife howls in agony. Still the huband feels no pain.

"Higher" he says. But even at a higher setting the husband just shakes his head. Nothing.

The doctor cranks the machine as high as it can go. The mother passes out from the pain and exhaustion as finally her child is delivered.

"I dont understand it." mutters the puzzled doctor rolling up the cords and putting the machine away. "It worked perfectly the last time we used it."

The next day when the couple arrives home from the hospital with their bundle of joy the postman is found dead on their doorstep, a look of sheer agony frozen on his face.
