This is not as hard as it was last time around, think Im too busy to really sweat it..!!

Im using the patch which seems to be doing a good job of cutting down my cravings!

Congratulations Elizabeth!
Keep up the good work, and remember to check in daily. It helps me with my motivation by being accountable.

Keep the quit and post before you puff!

Shalom!

It's one day at a time; one behavior at a time, choice after choice.
KISS, know what I mean?
Least that's what works for me...

Nice job!
Shalom!

Congradulations to all the non smokers! Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Elizabeth, i did the same thing, I had a set back, but that is what is was a set back, and the great thing is that you are right back on the band wagon, good for you

today is 5 months, 1 day and 14 hours

It has been a real struggle lately for me still, I dont know why, maybe I am trying to play head games with myself. Stress, that is what is doing it for me, when I am stressed and I have just had it, I want to give in. I will be strong, I will not give in.

I dont want to ever start over again, I am not coughing anymore, I am not looking for cigs and lighters when I go somewhere. It has just been a wonderful thing, I just need to get past those cravings, I wonder if this is because I am approaching my six month??? I think I may be getting the six month thing early, I hope it doesnt get worse than this.

I quit before Emily, several years ago..and quit for 6 months. Guess we all can deduce what happened after 6 months..Ive heard 6 months is tough for lots of people.
You can do it!
I am reminding myself that alot of this is mental because I am on the patch..so its not like my body NEEDS a cigarette.

I do fine all day at work, then about 6pm I just freak out....wonder if its my house..as a trigger..hmm. Good thing Im moving!

Plano, what is your status these days? I remember last year (Feb/Mar 2005), you had quit exactly 1 month before I did. I lasted 4 months, smoked 1 month, quit for another 4 months, and now I've been at it again for 4 months.

Talk to me...

My Wife and I have been fifteen months off the cigarettes. Best thing we ever did, well next to stopping the pot smoking and other drugs!

Elizabeth- keep up the good work. It will get easier and easier. I used the patch. It has been 1y,1m,2w. I had to use the patch for 3 months. 6wks on the 21, 4 wks on the 14, and 3wks on the 7. My husband is slowly cutting back on his cigs. I know that he will quit soon. Anyway, you will do it and feel much better for it. Good Luck.
