| What da ya know
I am about two weeks off the fags now. On patches though...but I still am craving, sweating slightly, and all of the other witdrawals. I just try not think of smoking - thats my best tactic. If smoking thoughts come into my mind I ignore them - they always go away. 5 |

Way to go, Five!!! Keep it up...you know...one day becomes two and so on.... Some days are like holding on for dear life...others fleeting thoughts...then the day comes when you go entirely without thinking about them!?!?!? The worst for me was the first 2 weeks. You've got that down, piece of cake, just stay on guard! It talks just like alcoholism talks.... Jen |

Hey you..... I don't visit this forum often. I was wondering how you were doing with the smoking, and decided to see if you had posted. I'm glad you're still hanging in there. Yes.... this is entirely doable. I hope you don't give up. Two weeks is a long time when you're just starting out. Each day seems like a week, and each week seems like a month. It seems the worst of it was over for me after a week, and after 3 weeks I was pretty much home-free. So look forward to feeling a whole lot better around that 21 day mark. Everyone's different I guess, but not so much. Good for you on quitting. It's really an unnecessary habit, stinky, costly.... you get the drift. |
