I smoked my last cigarette last night. I woke up this morning and said, "That's it. I'm done." Thing is, it feels different this time. (Oh, I've tried before!) I do not want one. Have not had a craving today. I know that it will not last, but I will stay positive and strong. I will not pick up a cigarette. So, how does this work? I come here when I'm fit to be tied? |

I think it's best to check in daily. It keeps me accountable to myself and others who are my support system, and I theirs. I also know that I *must* focus on my behaviors. Doing the next right thing means NOT reaching for a butt, but, learning new short and long range behaviors. Here's what *I* did... http://www.soberrecovery.com/forums/...s-my-quit.html (Tips from my Quit) You will also find quit tips through out the pages of nicotine, and on the top of the forum, where the stickies are, there is more helpful information. Read them; learn them; and most of all, Keep the quit and post before you puff! ![]() Shalom!

Something's wrong. I don't want a cigarette. What the heck? I bought those sour mints and pop one when I get in the car instead of lighting up. I saw a guy in the car in front of me, with his hand hanging out the window with a cigarette in his hand. It stunk. I rolled up my window. What is going on with me? |

Good luck to you guys! I'm trying to get my head around quitting myself. No good to even try until I can truly convince myself it's bad for my health and life would be better without it. I'm taking care of my body in other ways, so maybe a switch will flip soon...

I used each and every product and service availble to help me get past the grip of the nicodemon. I smoked for 36 years; up to more than 3 packs a day at my worst. There's no prize for suffering. Quitting is hard enough with support. So, please remember -- DO WHATEVER IT TAKES TO QUIT. Today, I am Seven months, three weeks, five days, 2 hours, 31 minutes and 23 seconds smoke free because of the choices I made. That's 9524 cigarettes not smoked, saving $2,618.70. Life saved: 4 weeks, 5days, 1 hour, 40 minutes. ![]() Keep the quit and post before you puff! Shalom!
